PAAL: July exhibit

The Main Gallery at PAAL presents SCENES FROM THE CARRIBEAN, oil paintings by Richard Leslie. Mr. Leslie is originally from Belize City, British Honduras, and now resides in Chesterfield County. He is a former President of PAAL, and has shown his work frequently in this area. Mr. Leslie will also be showing portraits, for which he is well known. Read more >

Summer Arts Camp
The week of July 21 - 25, the Petersburg Area Art League will sponsor a Summer Arts Camp, geared toward young artists eager to learn exciting art techniques. Five different area artists will each take a day of that week to instruct in the following art forms: Collage, Mono-printing, Cartooning, Bookmaking, and Portfolio Building. Read more >

Petersburg Area Art League - June exhibit

The Petersburg Area Art League announces its upcoming June 2008 exhibit. The Main Gallery at PAAL presents ANCIENT NOTATIONS, the work of artist-photographer CHARLOTTE GREGORY. Charlotte describes her medium as Archival Digital Prints. ANCIENT NOTATIONS will feature digital fine art prints from traditional photography processes. In her work Charlotte explores the process of change in an object, a way of life, and the differences between fact and perception and the potential for metaphor.
