Food Drive to help with dwindling supply at area Food Banks

Personal Care Preferred Group is holding a food drive at all seven of its locations through December 17. The donated food will be evenly distributed among the Tri-City and southern Virginia areas, including the counties of Isle of Wight, Prince George, Sussex, Southampton, Surry, Brunswick, Greensville, Chesterfield and Dinwiddie, as well as the cities of Emporia, Petersburg, Hopewell and Franklin. Community members and employees are asked to donate non-perishable, non-breakable food items used in healthy meals, including canned fruits and vegetables, canned meats and fish, and pasta.

Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive, Saturday May 10

The National Association of Letter Carriers (the folks at the post office) will collect food donations as part of the Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive on Saturday May 10. To help, just leave a bag of nonperishable food items next to your mailbox.
