Petersburg Area Art League - Sept. exhibit

The Main Gallery at PAAL presents the art of Petersburg resident Paul Penrod.

Penrod at PAAL

Paul Penrod is, at heart, a storyteller, and most of his work is a narrative of connected episodes.  He executes his detailed drawings using colored pencils, ink and washes. PAAL’s featured artist has had many influences on his art.  Among them are Medieval manuscripts, Celtic designs, the American southwest, and Mexican mural painters. Paul Penrod teaches in the Prince George County Public Schools, and has an academic background in studio art, printmaking, and art history.  His other interests include architecture and history.

THE ART OF PAUL PENROD opens with a reception on Friday, September 12, from 6 to 10 PM.  This opening coincides with the popular Second Friday for the Arts Celebration in Old Towne, Petersburg.  The exhibit can be seen during regular PAAL hours through October 5th, 2008.

PAAL is located at 7E. Old Street in Old Towne, Petersburg, VA.

PAAL hours: Tue-Sat 10:30-2:30, Sun 1-4 PM, closed Mon.
PAAL phone: (804) 861-4611
