You can buy a some sort of reader to install on your hose that measures how much of your water use is for gardening… you take that reading to the city, and they deduct that much use from the wastewater part of your water bill (I guess water going into the ground isn’t going into the sewage system?). Details on how one presents such a reading weren’t discussed, but I’m sure one could call the city to find out what they require. It was also mentioned that Thackers or Pleasants may have some of these doo-dads. Again, a few phone calls may save you some effort in the hunt.
