    The City Manager mentioned recently-found-available-funds … he is going to “review” budget items and “reveal” more at the next City Council meeting; sorry if this confuses the issues even more …

    Here’s a guy that is essentially saying what I was saying was likely going on in PPS, in spite of the misleading of our young people that evil “outsiders” are the cause of petersburg’s ills:

    Perhaps not the best written piece, it is filled with in-jokes apparently, and, being from the north, I barely know what a “good ol’ boy” network is, much less a “buddy system.”

    Before anyone explains the above, I have figured out that it means “a corrupt group, who are often incompetent, who get to make decisions because they fit it and are often strong on sales but short on substance.” But I am still learning. We have good ol’ boy networks where I am from, but there are many in competition with each other so they are never complacent, which makes them not really “good ol’…” I think part of the definition is that they also have to be complacent.
