The “Triangle” is the space more or less where Harrison, South, and Halifax Streets all converge (see here.)
This year’s event is co-sponsored by the City of Petersburg and Downtown Petersburg, Inc.

Head’s up re: the googlemap… focus on where Halifax and Harrison come together. I think (?) that ‘S Ave.’ on the map corresponds to ‘South Ave.’, as folks refer to the street.
This is certainly worth the trip! Nancy and I walked over this afternoon. Large crowd; great music; some hic-cups (as you might expect). We were certainly glad to have been able to be there. It goes on this evening until, I believe, 8:00 and resumes tomorrow. Go if you get a chance. And take a look around, while you’re there, at the great architecture you can see both in the triangle and from the triangle.
I’ve been painting my roof today, and I’m sure I just heard “girl from Ipanema”
Odd to hear so wistful a song under so bright a sun, made me think more about the moca douranda than before…
Had a great afternoon at the Halifax Triangle. Music was outstanding. The wonderful strawberry lemonade I had was greatly appreciated … it was a bit warm. Definitely encourage those reading this to go tonight or tomorrow!
What an honor it was to be able to preform at the jass fest. I just wanted to say thank you to all that were there and that helped in this great event. I can’t wait till next year.
