in RTD: Artists drawn to Petersburg
Check the article here. Artists Carol Meese (Friend House Gallery), Bobby Lynch (Sol Cooper Gallery), and Barry Roebuck are name-checked, as are other catalysts such as Petersburg Area Art League, Petersburg Regional Art Center, and Appomattox Regional Governor’s School for the Arts and Technology.

One more time RTD shows that it is a Petersburg booster. Kudos to the folks at RTD for looking through the misty veil and seeing the wonders of the old town.
The reporter I believe has local connection. The RTD is not a supporter of Petersburg, it continually reinforces to readers in the Richmond Metro that Petersburg is the dregs.
Good to have enemies like this. I’ve read a bunch of favorable articles in the RTD about Petersburg and friends have commented about them too.
(Hoo-wee, what typos in the original post. I threw the post up in a hurry b/f zipping out the door. I’ve now got the post reading something more akin to English.)
Good to see you in the press Bob and Hope. Congrats!
I’ve been a fan of Petersburg since I was a little boy reading Civil War Stories. I’m so glad to see the old town reborn.
Videos posted of FFA Lots of people visit Friday For the Arts and we capture just some of the action at Petersburgtv.com. Please let us know if you know a gallery we should visit or an act we need to cover. info@petersburtv.com
