A message from Paper With Style
PWS’ website is down owing to a need to change the business’ name:
As some of you may have already realized, we had to disable our online store this week and it is temporarily unavailable. This is due to the fact that a much larger paper company located in another state recently contacted us and brought to our attention that they have a registered US trademark for the words PAPER STYLE, which are very similar to our store name and website address of PAPER WITH STYLE.
Because this company had previously trademarked these words for their online store and we are in the same industry of retailing paper products and related gifts, we are not able to continue using our store name of PAPER WITH STYLE for our online store. Although we had followed all of the proper channels to register our company name within Virginia, that did not alert us to the fact that a nationwide presence existed with the such a similar company name, which had been officially trademarked.What does this mean for our store and website? Well, we are certainly sorry that this happened as we were very happy with our store name. However, we will be just as happy to continue our business under a unique new name. We will be selecting a new name for our store and registering a US trademark for our new name and website address to prevent a similar situation in the future. Our online store will be restored once our new store name has been established and we will eventually change the name of our physical store to match that of our online presence.
We greatly appreciate your patience and understanding as we make our identity transition. Our name may be changing, but our store and business operations will remain the same. We look forward to revealing our new store name to all of our valued customers very soon!
