Rags to riches
In contrast to the prior post, 439 S. Sycamore St, aka J.H. Lahmeyer House, has gotten a fine 2nd chance:

It’s a great example of what can be done and the folks who restored the house and documented the restoration via the site with wry humor should be congratulated!
…. and I forgot to add… if there are other renovations going on around town like this one everyone should let PPN know!
