Deadline to register for Chamber’s Annual Dinner is Jan 4

Petersburg Chamber of Commerce’s 127th Annual Membership Dinner Meeting will be Thursday, Jan. 10, 2008 at the Lee Club of Fort Lee. The Guest Speaker will be Gov. Timothy M. Kaine. The reception begins at 6:00pm, and dinner & program at 7:00pm. Please RSVP to the Chamber by Friday, January 4.

    Today’s P-I covers last night’s dinner. Among other things, the article quotes Gov. Kaine as saying ì’I learned something in working with Rolls-Royce… The most precious asset in the world … is brainpower’”, referring to the key role that bringing Virginia Tech and University of Virginia aboard the future corporate campus played in landing the Rolls-Royce deal.
