From PPS’ Cliff Davis: A candlelight prayer vigil will be held on Saturday, Dec. 1, at the Pegram Street site of a fatal house fire this week that claimed the lives of three children and injured a Petersburg City Public Schools employee. The vigil will be from 7:30pm to 8:30pm. There will be a speaker. It is sponsored by Friends Of, a charitable organization in the city. The Petersburg City Public Schools has no official connection to this organization but we encourage district staff to do whatever they can to assist the survivors of this fire and to seek out opportunities for comfort in dealing with their own grief related to this tragedy.
