PAAL November exhibits
The Petersburg Area Art League announces its upcoming November 2007 exhibits. The main gallery at PAAL will present ìNatureís Inspirational Treasuresî. This is a body of work done by four local women who call themselves Artistic Ladies. They are Savannah Cabral, Polly Taylor, Sylvia Wawner, and Donna Williams.
Their paintings and drawings are produced in a wide range of mediums, including oil, acrylics, watercolor, charcoal, pastel, and colored pencil. The upstairs gallery will show ìPortraitsî, a collection of portraits by local artists. This is a fund-raising event. The public will be invited to choose the best in show.
Both shows open with a reception held in PAALís main gallery on Friday, Nov. 9th, from 6 to 10 pm. The opening reception is free and open to the public. This event coincides with the popular Friday for the Arts that is held monthly in Old Towne.
Nature’s Inspirational Treasures will be on display during PAALís regular hours through Dec. 9.
