Richmond artist Susan Singer offers a smorgasbord of fruits and vegetables rendered in pastel at Petersburg’s Friend House Gallery. Come to the Artist’s Closing Reception during Friday for the Arts!, from 6:30-9pm.

In this exhibit, Singer has been working with form and color manifesting as beautifully sculpted, energetic, bold and delicious offerings based on produce from the weekly Farmer’s Market at Byrd House Market. Each week she purchases beauties from local farmers then explores their form and color in her home studio. Occasionally she returns to her previous exploration of pure color and creates a color study based on the produce she has drawn.
