Local taxi driver robbed and forced into trunk

NBC 12 reports that a female taxi driver was robbed and forced to get into the trunk by 3 passengers. The victim is reported to be shaken but ok. The suspects, picked up at California Inn, got away.

    Today’s P-I also notes that the suspects are facing charges for “a series of armed robberies, abductions and carjackings of cabdrivers.” Further, only 3 of the 4 suspects have been arrested:

    Also wanted in the crimes is 19-year-old Monta Brown, who is facing the same charges.

    Monta Brown is still at large and believed to be in the Petersburg area.

    Anyone with information on the location of Monta Brown or with any information about these robberies is asked to call Detective R. Harris at the Petersburg Bureau of Police, 732-8070.
