Petersburg residents invited to attend Governorís Schools Informational Meeting

The meeting is open to all parents and students (especially 8th grade) who are interested in applying to the governorís schools (Appomattox Regional Governorís School for Performing Arts and Technology, and Maggie Walker Governorís School for Government and International Studies). The meeting will be Thurs., Oct. 11, 2007, in Vernon Johns Cafeteria, 6:30 PM ñ 8:30 PM.

On October 15, 2007, applications can be picked up at your nearest middle school:
ï Vernon Johns, Ms. E. Britten
ï Peabody, Ms. C. Woodson.

Private and home schooled students must have a proof of residence (original document) in order to pick up an application.
