Learn about free tutoring available to students of Petersburg’s Title I schools

If your child attends a Title I school in the Petersburg City Public School Division, then he or she is eligible for free tutoring. Petersburg City Public Schools is sponsoring a Supplemental Educational Services (SES) Fair on Saturday, September 22, 2007 from 11 am to 2 pm at Vernon Johns Middle School.

Parents and students will meet with Supplemental Education Service providers who will offer free tutoring to PPS students. Refreshments will be provided and door prizes will be awarded. For more information, contact Cheryl Bostick, Supervisor of Federal Programs, at 804.862.7090.

    More info:

Our Title 1 schools are JEB Stuart and AP Hill Elementary; and Peabody and Vernon Johns Middle.

This free tutoring is also available to students of Walnut Hill and R.E. Lee (targeted-assistance schools) after assistance has been provided to the Title I schools.
