Six months old!

PBURGPN launched six months ago. 357 posts and 626 comments later, the site now boasts over 2000 unique readers a month and around 250 unique readers a day on weekdays. Thanks to those who send stuff in to beam up (seriously… with 2 jobs, I wouldn’t be able to chase it all down), and also to those who add further interest/information via the comments. And special thanks to John Murden of ‘hoodblog world domination fame — :-) — for being the inspiration and mentor behind this site.

Today’s P-I holds forth on a report released by the Army-Community Heritage Partnership Program this last spring, outlining how Petersburg and Fort Lee may deepen their relationship.

    One of the recommendations:
    - develop a campaign to let civilians know what is available at Fort Lee, such as its museums and playhouse.

This site is doing it’s small part by providing area locals information on Fort Lee Playhouse and similar open-to-the-public events, such as the 9/11 Rememberance Walk or the 4th of July celebration.

That said, I have not obtained any information in relation to the museums at Fort Lee.

I’d appreciate if someone could introduce me to the folks that manage the museums on Fort Lee. — Thanks!
