Sales Tax Holiday, Aug 3-5
From the Virginia Dept of Taxation’s page on the Sales Tax Holiday, this year’s sales tax holiday “will begin at 12:01 a.m. on Friday, August 3, 2007 and end at midnight on Sunday, August 5, 2007.” Exempt from the sales tax: “purchases of school supplies selling for $20 or less per item, and articles of clothing, including footwear, selling for $100 or less per item, will be exempt from sales tax.”

Check the papers as some retailers will be offering no sales tax on everything in the store. You can also come to our yard sale on Saturday. We don’t charge tax either!
