Cheap local gas
RichmondGasPrices.com is a nifty tool that allows motorists to report prices seen at the pump. The site allows one to search prices by area (e.g., Ashland, Glen Allen, Fort Lee…), by type of station (e.g., BP, Chevron, Wawa…), and by type of gas (e.g., regular, premium, diesel), plus offers maps, charts, and other bells/whistles. Ukrop’s fuelperks program > Krogers program
I really like this program. You need groceries, you need gas – eh every little bit helps I guess. I think we are already at a $.40/gallon discount in the couple of weeks since this program started and we haven’t been exclusively shopping at Ukrop’s either (they are just a bit too pricey for some stuff). I wonder if Food Kitty (Lion) will try to jump on this band wagon too or if they won’t given they are a European company and those folks are already used to exorbitant gas prices.

I especially like it since I have a First Market Bank account so as I’m paying for my Ukrop’s discounted gas, I’m earning more points towards Ukrop’s discounts and such!
Side note – another good place for cheap gas – the Raceway at County Dr. & Hickory Hill Rd. I’ve been getting Premium for btwn. $4.07-$4.09/gallon there.
