Appomattox Regional GovernorÔø?s School (ARGS) will play host to an incredible evening of music, dance, theatre, and the spoken word on May 19 at 7pm as they present the Spring Arts Gala Benefit for the Beth Davis Memorial Award.
Ôø?
The Gala will feature guest artists from professional arts organizations around the Richmond metro area, as well as select students from ARGS.Ôø? Scheduled to perform are representatives from the Richmond Ballet, Swift Creek Mill Theatre, Barksdale Theatre, Starr Foster Dance Project, and Firehouse Theatre, among many others.Ôø?
Last year, ARGS was deeply saddened by the loss of their assistant director, Beth Davis.Ôø? A truly amazing woman, Mrs. Davis left an incredible legacy of giving during her tenure as assistant director, member of the Chesterfield School Board, and as an active member in her church and political party.Ôø? As a way to honor Mrs. Davis, the PTSA founded the Beth Davis Memorial Award in order to assist one graduating senior in his or her college venture.Ôø? This student will exemplify those qualities of personal and academic excellence combined with a strong commitment toward serving others that Mrs. Davis represented.
Due to the generosity of its guest artists, all of the proceeds from the benefit will go towards the Beth Davis Memorial Award.Ôø? Art enthusiasts will not want to miss this unforgettable evening of talent assembled in one place that will honor the legacy of a truly incredible woman.
The cost is only $20 per person and includes a reception afterwards with the artists.Ôø? For ticket reservations call 722-0204 orÔø?print theÔø?Ticket Order Form and send it in to our Box Office!
