A neighbor asks: what’s the detour on S. Sycamore about?

The city has been doing some work on S. Sycamore for a number of days.� A neighbor asked if I knew what project was at hand; I do not.� Anyone have some insight?

I called the city utility department today and they said the work there is being done by Verizon. All they could say is “any day now.”

The street was open last night when we came home about 7:30 p.m., however the sign was still up. The barriers were all down though.

The work appears to be done for now. The detour signs are down and the street is open.
