The Phoenix Project seeks to match 40 Nonprofit Leadership Program students to capacity-building projects in Petersburg

The Phoenix Project has engaged a consortium of higher education institutions, including the College of William and Mary, Virginia State University, Richard Bland College, and the University of Richmond in an economic and community development partnership with Petersburg, Virginia.

The Phoenix Project has made a number of timely reports about the community available on its website. For example, residents can access the 2006 SAVY Youth Needs Assessment and the March 2007 Army-Community Heritage Partnership Fort Lee/Downtown Petersburg Customer Survey. Check back to the website’s Reports and Studies page for future reports, and please send to the Phoenix Project any additional studies you would like to post as a resource.

Presently, The Phoenix Project is soliciting capacity-building projects for students in its 2007 Nonprofit Leadership Program, which will bring 40 undergraduate and graduate students from across Virginia to Petersburg for the summer. If your organization could use extra hands and minds this summer, please fill out the online form here.

For more information on the Phoenix Project, click here for details on how to contact the Phoenix Project.
