I feel that there is nothing wrong with a golf course. I do feel that it has its place. Petersburg needs so many other things that will benefit so many other people, yet, when people approached the persons they voted into office, it was as if they weren’t even heard. I also think that our system is so wrong to use the name of the children to gain support from our citizens. This golf course is not about the children, its about the money and the image. If it were for the children, then we would have been had a place for the kids and not work on golf course for a few.

Time will tell about the benefits of the golf course for our city.

Time has already told about the benefits of our current city leaders. They could at least appear to care what we think.

To the extent some of the concern in relation to this project was that some members of the community were not aware of early meetings on the subject –

    a) it is my aim to maintain a timely calendar on civic meetings of interest to the community — and if you think you might forget to check the calendar on this site from time to time, sign up for the weekly email summaries to stay abreast of the week’s threads and calendar items.

    b) I will start posting links to the City Council meetings’ minutes as they come available for the benefit of those who are unable to attend a meeting.

    Cheers,
    Brenda P
