Friday for the Arts! for this Friday
The March edition of Friday for the Arts! will be Friday March 9 from 6-10pm in Old Town Petersburg. Featuring the wonderful art created from organic materials by Rebekah Harris at Sycamore Rouge, the exotic theremin player Armen Ra at the Rouge, paintings from nature by Frederick Nichols at the Library, Darryl Reese & Catherine Warnock at Friend House, Quatro na Bossa & Jennifer Risley at Wabi-Sabi, & Concerts by Candlelight at St. Paul’s, street music everywhere, and much more!

Petersburg on list of ‘Most Endangered Battlefields’
The Civil War Preservation Trust recently unveiled its annual report on the status of the nation’s historic battlegrounds. The report, entitled History Under Siege: A Guide to America’s Most Endangered Civil War Battlefields, identifies the most threatened Civil War sites in the United States and what can be done to rescue them.
